How to Apply

BELMONT COUNTY CASH, FOOD, AND/OR MEDICAL APPLICATION PROCESS:

Applying for cash, food and/or medical assistance (Medicaid) through Belmont County is a multi-step process. Please read the following information carefully to ensure your application is processed as quickly as possible. Please note it may take up to 30 days to process your application. We work on cases in the order that they are received and when all verification documents have been received. 

If you need an application mailed to you, please call (740) 695-1075, ext 1130. Please specify what program(s) you are applying for as the applications may be different.

STEP 1: SUBMIT AN APPLICATION

You can submit your application in the following ways:

• Call 1 (740) 695-1075 Extension 1130
• Online – Click to apply, re-certify, report changes, and manage your case. If you need assistance on how to use the website, on the main screen click on the red rectangle *Manage Benefits*. Next click on the left hand side link of “How to Use this site”. Then from there click on the “How to use the Ohio Benefits Portal.” Lastly, click on the “Click here to view this tutorial.” About 1 min and 25 secs into the tutorial shows how to create a login and password, how to link your cases to your account, and view your benefits.

  • Deliver in person by dropping off a signed application at our agency located at 68145 Hammond Rd., St. Clairsville, OH  43950
